Well I've left Dunedin, I've passed my exams, and I now have a BCom DipGrad, woop woop! I actually passed 5 stressful exams (to any others considering taking 5 papers at once , don't if you want a life), 1 which I was sure I'd failed but I guess study must've paid off...somehow! To my surprise I even managed my first and last A+....the paper it was: no comment! So hours spent in the library are over. I'll (surprisingly) actually miss it, especially the "group" study sessions, with 2 hour lunches and sudoku breaks. If I'm totally honest, I'll actually miss the learning side of things too. Being able to take some quite random papers turned out to be quite fun! Bit of spanish, maori, psyc, and sports psyc makes lectures (sometimes) interesting.
I did make the possible mistake of telling my boss I like learning new things and studying too, why oh why it popped out of my mouth I still don't know! Straight away he mentioned that they always need people like me to go to courses and then give feedback, including presentations to the other employees, woops!! Presentations eeeek! Ok so that said, I've started my job for at least the next two years. Got the handshake from the boss, told my degree was the best he's seen come through for a while (big self esteem boost, and yes my head may have expanded slightly!) . Ahhh earning money finally :D Works actually pretty good, and I've been there for a week. 1 week out of 45 years as some lovely people keep telling me! And only 3 more weeks until Christmas holidays yay! Then 3 weeks off, life is goooood.
Well before I started work, I went on a wee roadtrip from Invercargill to Wellington with some awesome people! It included Jacqui and I bungy jumping, seeing fellow CE's, luging, indoor rock climbing, getting lost in the puzzle world maze, Joe and Chris jumping off Cromwell bridge and touch rugby. Not to mention, rain, rain and more rain, packing the poor wee mazda everyday and then somehow fitting ourselves in. That mazda deserves a gold medal for what it went through. For me I loved seeing my wee girls Esther and Debbie in Greymouth, sooo cute. And amusing watching the boys interacting with a 2yr old and 6 month old. Joe the wee Dad :P Oops did I say that. There was also nightly games of 500, congrats to Chris who took it out on the tally board in the end. Next time, next time.... Oh I almost forgot! We went to Hanmer Springs! Did you know it's the n before the m? The pools were so nice and relaxing and there was sun! However, us girls being smarter put on sunscreen and didn't have to suffer for the next week from bright red sunburn, unlike 2 others. "Not bad for a girl" eh Chris! How's the peeling? :P Then I spent a few gurly days in Wellington with Jacqui. I loved it (shopping...drool.., tennis awesome, the company great.). Thanks heaps for the fun times Jacq! Well I'll put up photos sometime.
At the moment, I'm totally undecisive what to do for my holidays! 3 weeks off until Christmas next year and I really really really don't want to be in Invers for it. If anybody has any great suggestions contact me! On that note this post is getting a little longer than I expected but all good, I'll live with it. Bed time for me, I'm apparently a grown up now, so should have a grown up bedtime so I'm bright and chirpy for work tomorrow (I'm dreaming, like I'll ever go to bed early!).
Nuh night...BC
